focus

Sorry for the lack of bogging over Christmas.  I had big plans to write lots but life, and death, got in the way.  My brother-in-law Roy died suddenly just before Christmas so much of the festive period has been spent dealing with funeral arrangements and the like.

Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers.  Both Avril and I appreciate them more than you could know.

It’s kind of ironic that death makes you focus on life.  It highlights relationships, both good and bad.  It makes us spend time with people we haven’t seen for too long.  It seems a shame that this should be the case.  It shouldn’t take something bad to bring people together but perhaps some good can come from tragedy.

So, make time for people this year.  Be gentle and generous.  Be patient because you never really know what people are struggling with.

Have a happy and peaceful New Year.
