Not Just Any Given Saturday

I love sport.  I love the tension, the drama and the passion.

My football (soccer) team is a small provincial club, Motherwell FC.  We don’t win many things although for the past few seasons we have been playing pretty well.   So when a Scottish Cup semi-final game at Hampden Park comes around it’s well worth the ticket!

Motherwell won the Scottish cup 20 years ago.  The only other time was in 1952.  These are the kinds of things that I think every kid should experience so Ben and Jack were given their chance last Saturday when we went to the National Stadium for the game.

we are the boys from the MFC

The boys loved it.  Despite the relatively small crowd the atmosphere was great with loads of singing and comedy chants.

And they will be going back on 21 May because Motherwell beat St Johnstone 3-0!

We play Celtic in the final and I can’t wait!

  1. Congrats Stewart.
Best of luck in the final, It would be good for the Old Firm NOT to win from time to time.
