disconnect

I sense that there is a disconnect between national strategy and local strategy.

Lots of organisations make policy and strategy at national level.  That tends to be where global policy decisions are made and because specialist staff tend to work centrally and relate to boards and committees that’s where strategy happens.

The strategies are good.  They reflect local issues, problems and realities.

But they don’t get implemented.

So, what would it take for a national strategy to make it onto your local agenda?

What resources would you need?  Is it about time?  Money?  Staff?
