I’m rereading Velvet Elvis…….that book is so powerful. So thought provoking. I’m ashamed it didn’t make more of an impact in my actions! I think you’re right. The church as forgotten so much, I include myself in that! I wonder how many of us will have the guts to challenge ourselves to actually try and remember what has been forgotten and in turn how many will challeng those around them at the same time….please challenge me, we all need accountabilty!

Great stuff! That section of Velvet Elvis really struck me.Another aspect of the Good News goes right in line with what Jesus says in Luke 4.”The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”I wonder as I read that, are the poor really concerned about getting to heaven in 50-60 years? What about the prisoner, or the blind, or the oppressed? The Good News is good news to all - the Good News is the year of the Lord’s favor - the year of Jubilee - a year based solely around the idea of grace and forgiveness.Great stuff!

For £1,000 you, or anyone else can have a Megane Estate that needs £1,500 of work done including a drive shaft, strut mounts, trackrod ends… But the book price when it’s fixed is £3,300.
