How can the church be a nurturing community for people with mental health problems?

This day seminar is for anyone who wants to explore openly the issues facing those with mental health problems as they seek to be welcomed by the church.

Contributors:

The day will be led by Marion Carson.

Dr Marion Carson, Lecturer in New Testament and Pastoral Care at ICC.  A former psychiatric nurse, Marion continues to have a strong interest in mental health issues. Her book The Pastoral Care of People with Mental Health Problems was published in 2008.

Irene Tiplady has worked for 9½ years in a variety of roles at Buckinghamshire MIND, a mental health charity.  She has a Certificate in Mental Health Studies and a Certificate in Health and Social Care from the Open University, and is currently completing her studies for a BSC in Health and Social Care.  Irene also happens to be married to Richard, the Principal of ICC.
